area, with some of the highest rates of chemical pesticide use in
India to combat against the American Bollworm. As a result, new studies
show that rates of cancers, deformities, learning disabilities, and
other disorders are higher than average in Bhatinda. This photo was
taken outside the house of a woman dying of breast cancer. Her family
is so in debt because of all the medical bills that they may be forced
to leave their land. |
