| Mr.
Ganapathy explains planting on his small organic farm in Tamil Nadu,
India, while Muthu, a student social worker studying agriculture,
translates. With the help of an NGO called LEISA (Low External Input
Sustainable Agriculture), Mr. Ganapathy and thousands of other farmers
in the region have rejected chemical fertilizers and pesticides and
are combining the best of modern ecology with the all natural methods
of farming formerly practiced by their forefathers. |
